Thanks for your question Mike. Delta-9 THC is the main compound in cannabis that makes you feel “high,” but it’s not tied specifically to either Sativa or Indica. Instead, it’s found in both types of cannabis plants.

Sativa plants are usually tall with thin leaves. People say Sativa strains give an uplifting, energetic feeling, making them good for daytime use. Indica plants are shorter and bushier with wider leaves. Indica strains are known for their relaxing, calming effects, often preferred for nighttime use.

Actually Delta-9 THC is present in both Sativa and Indica strains. The amount can vary, but it’s the same compound causing the high in both types of plants. The difference in effects between Sativa and Indica comes from other chemicals in the plants, not just Delta-9 THC. Things like terpenes (which give the plant its smell and flavor) play a big role in how each strain makes you feel.

Delta-9 THC itself isn’t Sativa or Indica. It’s just one part of the cannabis plant that’s found in both types. The unique effects of Sativa or Indica strains come from the combination of all the compounds in the plant, not just Delta-9.

Is delta 8 statistically safe to use?

There is no simple answer to your question. Many factors come into play when deciding to use Delta 8. Delta 8 has gained popularity for its mild psychoactive effects compared to Delta 9, the more well known variant in marijuana. However, its safety profile is a topic of ongoing debate.

The safety of Delta 8 is not as well documented as Delta 9. While some studies suggest that Delta 8 may have similar therapeutic benefits, such as pain relief and anxiety reduction, comprehensive long term safety data is lacking.

One of the major concerns is the quality and purity of Delta 8 products. The industry is poorly regulated, leading to potential contamination with harmful chemicals during the extraction and manufacturing processes. Consumers should be cautious and seek products that have been tested by reputable third party laboratories to ensure safety and purity.

Statistically Delta 8 appears to be somewhat safe for users, the lack of extensive research, potential for product contamination, and regulatory variability necessitate caution. Any user should prioritize searching for high quality tested Delta products. Please keep in mind that TCG is not offering medical, personal or advice of any kind regarding the use of Delta 8 or Delta 9 products. Any definitive questions should be addressed to your physician or medically trained personnel.

We have included a link to some recent studies of Delta 8 and Delta 9 products.
